Toyota has released more details and pricing for the 2013 Toyota Tacoma. The base price for leading, compact truck in the U.S. will be $17,520 – $400 more than 2012.

Pricing has been announced for the 2013 Toyota Tacoma and much like the lack of changes from the 2012 model, the price really isn't that much different.
- Softex® leather-like heated seats
- Sliding privacy rear glass
- Display Audio with Entune and JBL
- EC HomeLink rearview mirror
- 18” chrome clad wheels with P265/60R18 tires
- Limited badge
- Chrome fog lamp housings, door handles and outside mirrors
The base truck MSRP will “range from $17,520 for the 4×2 Regular Cab with a four-cylinder engine and five-speed manual transmission to $28,090 for the 4×4 Double Cab V6 long-bed with a five-speed automatic.” Toyota says that 2013 MSRP’s have an average increase of $150 or (0.6 percent) for all models. Also announced is that the TRD Sport upgrade package “has been discontinued” for the 2013 model year.” No word on if it will ever be offered again.
One thing to note is that “Toyota MSRPs do not include a delivery, processing and handling (DPH) fee of $845 for Toyota small/medium trucks. The DPH fee for vehicles distributed by Southeast Toyota (SET) and Gulf States Toyota (GST) may vary.”
Much like has been reported, the 2013 Toyota Tacoma won’t have many changes and looks like it won’t have much change in price either. Toyota must be thinking why mess with a good thing.

No new engine yet eh? Of course we new that already – not until 2014. But I had a glimpse of hope. Too bad. In part, it’s good that Toyota didn’t install a new engine right after the 2012 facelift though. Otherwise, recent buyers of 2012′s would feel duped – just like 2010 Mustang buyers.
Taco should be embarrassing to Toyota. Older than dirt with outdated inefficient trans/engines. Ram just announced 8sp and 25 mpg. Real life v6 taco is 17mpg. Duh who buys these? Put down the Koolaid.
Mo Mic,
I think it is easy to get complacent when you have been on top for so long. Here’s hoping Toyota builds a new and improved Taco.
